Account Deletion Instructions

This page provides instructions for deleting your account with SmartStow, a product of The Good Business Software Co (also known as The Good Business Software Company Inc.).
How to Delete Your Account
In-App Account Deletion
To request deletion of your SmartStow account and associated data, please follow these steps:
- Login to the SmartStow app
- Navigate to the "Settings" page
- Locate the "User Profile" section
- Click the "DELETE ACCOUNT" button
- Confirm your account deletion request
Alternative: Email Request
You may also request account deletion by emailing support@smartstowapp.com with the following requirements:
- Subject line: "delete account"
- From address: You must send the email from the email address your account is registered with
For security purposes, account deletion requests sent from email addresses that do not match our records cannot be processed.
What Happens When You Delete Your Account
Data Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data will be permanently removed:
- Your account credentials and login information
- Your inventory data (items, containers, and locations)
- Your voice recordings and transcriptions
- Personal information including email address, phone number, and profile details
- Payment history and subscription information
Data Retention
In accordance with our Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions, certain data may be retained for limited periods:
- Legal compliance: Data required for legal, tax, or regulatory purposes may be retained for the minimum period required by law
- Security and fraud prevention: Minimal records may be kept to prevent abuse and maintain platform security
- Backup systems: Data in backup systems will be automatically purged according to our standard backup retention schedule (typically within 30-90 days)
As stated in our Privacy Policy: "User data will be stored until the purpose the data was collected for has been achieved."
Third-Party Data
Data shared with third-party service providers (such as payment partners and AI/ML inference providers) is governed by their respective privacy policies. Upon account deletion, we will cease sharing your data with these providers, though they may retain data according to their own retention policies.
Before You Delete Your Account
Please note the following before proceeding with account deletion:
- Account deletion is permanent. Once your account is deleted, you will not be able to recover your inventory data, recordings, or account information.
- Active subscriptions: If you have an active subscription, please cancel it through your app store (Google Play or Apple App Store) before deleting your account to avoid future charges.
- Data export: If you wish to retain a copy of your data, please contact support@smartstowapp.com before deleting your account to request a data export, as outlined in our Privacy Policy.
